Key functions

User friendly, intuitive and simple to use.

You can copy files and folders to or synchronize with internal and external devices, such as: USB disks, network disks (NAS), cloud storage, FTP or SFTP servers, etc.

• It is no longer necessary to copy your important files manually. If desired, SyncFolder can automatically copy all modified and new files.
• Automatic backup can be configured: daily, weekly, or monthly.
• With external USB storage SyncFolder can start the backup when the device is inserted.
• Copy happens incrementally - Only new and modified files will be copied.

The app allows you to import photos and videos from external devices using USB and WiFi.

Configure a task

For each storage location (root folder) you want to back up, you must create a task where you can choose from one of the following backup methods:

• One-way synchronization - This method makes a blind copy of the source location to a storage location with the intention of having an exact copy.
• Two-way synchronization - With this method, changes in location A are synchronized with location B and vice versa.
• Copy - This method copies all changes from the source location to the target location. No files are deleted at the target location.
• Cut and paste - This method moves all files from the source location to the target location.

Syncing/copying can then be done in 3 ways: automatically at the configured time, manually, or when the USB storage device is connected.

View and manage multiple tasks

SyncFolder allows you to set up multiple backup tasks.

From the task list, you can directly view the result of the last execution and, if you don't want to wait for the automatic execution, also start the task immediately.

During the execution of a task, you will receive feedback, such as: percentage executed, the name of the file being copied, etc.

Filters for folders and files

When configuring the source location, you can specify which folders should be included at the top level of the source folder.
This allows you to exclude temporary, non-essential folders and files and save space on the storage medium.

With the filter option, you can also do the same with folders and files located further down the tree:

• You can specify complete folder names or partial names using wildcards.
• For files, the filter allows you to either specify which files you want to exclude or which files you want to copy. In both cases, you can specify the names either completely or partially with wildcards.

Import photos and videos from a USB device

Easily transfer and save your photos and videos on your computer via USB.

Connect your camera, smartphone or tablet to your computer and let SyncFolder scan the device for new files.

Select the pictures and videos you want to save and copy them to the default folder on your computer or to a subfolder of your choice.

Import photos and videos via WiFI

Easily transfer and save your photos and videos from your mobile device to your computer using a WiFi connection.

For this you have to install and run the iOS or Android SyncFolder Photos compagnion app on your smartphone or tablet. You can then select and transfer your pictures and videos using the app on your mobile device.

Security is provided by protecting the communication using encrypted security tokens.
