SyncFolder — Desktop User Guide
OneDrive Destination only
This location type connects directly to a OneDrive account using the Microsoft Graph API. No local OneDrive client installation is required. OneDrive is available as a destination only. After selecting this type from the dropdown and clicking Select drive/folder, a popup opens to sign in and choose a folder.
Signing In and Selecting a Folder
- The popup shows Choose a OneDrive folder and opens a Microsoft sign-in webpage.
- Enter your OneDrive account credentials and sign in.
- Close the sign-in webpage and return to the popup.
- The popup now shows the OneDrive folder structure directly. Browse the folder tree and select the desired folder, then confirm the selection.
Sign-in is handled by Microsoft's own authentication page. SyncFolder never sees or stores your OneDrive password directly.
Changing the Folder or Account Later
You can choose a different folder, or sign in with a different OneDrive account, at any time by clicking Select drive/folder again. If your sign-in is still valid, the popup opens directly to the OneDrive folder picker without prompting you to sign in again.
